34th Annual Concours d'Elegance
Sunday, October 4, 2020, Columbia Crest Winery in Paterson, WA  --
is now CANCELED as of Friday, July 17th.  The current restrictions in place for limiting COVID-19 will not allow us to hold this show.
Planning meetings for the 34th annual Concours d'Elegance will start on July 13th.  At this time, we believe the meetings will take place in Wendy's parking lot at Canal and Grandridge (7003 W. Canal Dr.) in Kennewick until we are allowed to have indoor meetings again.  We and Columbia Crest Winery management are determined and eager to hold this show, but Benton County must first be approved to enter Phase 4 of the economic recovery plan.  Phase 4 must actually be entered early enough in September to allow final details to be planned.  Benton County just entered Phase 1.5 of the recovery plan on July 3rd.  Planning meetings will start at 6:30 pm unless notified otherwise.  Arrive earlier if you'd like to use Wendy's drive-through to eat first.  You'll need to bring your own chairs and writing surfaces, plus maintain proper physical distancing.

33rd Annual Concours d'Elegance
Sunday, October 6, 2019

 We had an immensely successful show at Columbia Crest Winery on October 6th!  Initial count of cars was 189.  We made a very good profit, which will make Meals on Wheels and our Christmas family(ies) very happy.  We have at least a couple of ideas to try avoiding the parking overload in a few classes, as well as get the cars into the show site faster so that the line doesn't extend clear out onto the highway again.  The 2 happiest entrants are the owners of our Winery Choice and Participants Choice best of Show Awards.  I'd have had their photos posted here already, but I'm having a problem getting them uploaded.  The Winery Choice Award went to Scott and Lois Robinson of Mustangs Northwest for their Highland Green 1968 Mustang fastback.  The participants' Choice best of Show Award was won by Robert Burke, an independent entry, for his green modified 1970 Mustang convertible powered by a high performance 408 engine.  Congratulations to both of you, as well as to all the class award winners.  I'm having the same problem uploading the file that lists the class winners.

32nd Anniversary Concours d'Elegance Sunday, October 7, 2018

The 32nd annual PNWMC Concours d'Elegance has come and gone.  If you weren't there, you missed a good show.  We had 159 entries with 147 parked on the grass at the winery.  Below are photos of the major award winners.  Following that, there's a pdf listing the other trophy winners by class.  We are very pleased with the profit we made from the show and will be able to make a generous donation to the local Meals on Wheels and our Christmas family(ies).  Columbia Crest also had a good day and we really appreciate being allowed to use their winery grounds for this show.  We hope to see even more of you at our 2019 Spring Show 'n' Shine at Columbia Point Marina Park in Richland on May 25th and 26th and next year's Concours d'Elegance at Columbia Crest Winery on October 6th.

A teal 1966 Ford Mustang convertible entered by Walter Tamosaitas of the Pacific Northwest Mustang Club

31st Anniversary Concours d'Elegance
Sunday, October 1, 2017

Planning meetings for the 2017 Concours d'Elegance started on Monday, July 31st at the Round Table Pizza restaurant on Leslie Road in south Richland.  We have made a lot of progress since then.  Artwork for the show trophies and shirts is completed.  Other decisions have been made, enough to allow completion and mailing of the show pre-registration forms.  If you do not have yours yet, you can download it here.  Sorry, but it still has to be printed and filled in by hand.  2017Fall-Preregistration.pdf

The Fall Show planning meeting originally scheduled for Labor Day has been cancelled.  The meetings scheduled for September 11th, 18th, and 25th will still be held.  The September 11th meeting will be held at the Round Table Pizza location at George Washington Way and Torbett in Richland.  The others will be held at the usual RTP at Leslie and Gage in south Richland.  The post-show analysis meeting is scheduled for TUESDAY, Oct. 10th, at the RTP at Leslie and Gage.
Anniversary Concours d'Elegance
Sunday, October 2, 2016

Planning meetings for the 30th Anniversary show are done.  Co-Chairs Paul Ziemer (509-591-9285), Corky Farrell (509-627-9586), and Kevin Davis (509-521-3693) have been meeting with several others to get some the details settled.  We intend for the 30th Anniversary show to be the best yet.  The show will be at Columbia Crest Winery 1.5 miles north of Paterson on SR-221.  One change from our earlier plans: the post-show dinner at 5 pm has been changed from Bob's Burgers & Brews to Azteca at US-395 and 10th Avenue in Kennewick.

The pre-registration forms have been completed.  These were mailed to the past 3 years' entrants and to PNWMC members on August 30th.  If you have not received yours in the mail by September 6th, you can download the form here 2016_Fall_Mailer_8-22_Final.pdf

.  This pre-registration form can not be filled out or submitted on-line.  It has to be printed, filled out by hand, and mailed or hand-delivered to us (sorry!) with the entry fee.  We do not have the ability to accept credit or debit cards as payment.  We gladly accept cash or checks.  The winery does NOT have an ATM.

The pre-registration form also has areas for purchasing show t-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, and special 30th Anniversary caps ahead of time.  If you have not ordered these items already, it is now too late for advance orders.  We will have very limited supplies available for sale at the show.  The PNWMC and Columbia Crest Winery have worked together to design the artwork for these articles.  We are very impressed with the artwork for this show.  The back  of the t-shirts and sweatshirts will look like this on the dark green fabric:

The caps and the fronts of the shirts and sweats have this logo on the front:

This logo is embroidered on the caps.

But that's not all!  Entrants this year will also receive a pair of wine glasses with this logo:

We also have arrangements once again with the Inn at Horse Heaven (Best Western) in Prosser at 359 Merlot Drive for a special rate.  Fifteen rooms were set aside until September 15th.  We have been informed that all these rooms are taken.  There are several other motels in the Prosser, Tri-Cities, and Hermiston/Umatilla areas, if needed.

The trophies for this special show are also being upgraded.  Grant Culley, Paul Ziemer, and others have worked hard on them and they are nearly finished.  The 30th Anniversary trophies are cut from oak instead of the traditional pine, but are the same size and shape as in past years.

Acoustic Java will return for afternoon entertainment.  Tip Pit BBQ will return to sell lunches.

We will be marking the predicted spaces needed for the car classes on Saturday, October 1st, starting at 10 a.m.  We believe that this will speed up our Sunday morning setup at Columbia Crest.  Our predicted time to start letting cars in for parking on Sunday remains 9 a.m.

The weather forecast as of early Friday afternoon from the Washington Department of Transportation web site is for a Sunday morning low of 40-45 with highs Saturday and Sunday around 70.  Precipitation probabilities from the NOAA web site are 10% Saturday afternoon, decreasing to 5% all day Sunday.  The weather could also be breezy, but we don't expect the blowing dust we had in 2009.

29th Annual Concours d'Elegance
Sunday, October 4, 2015
The show will be at Columbia Crest Winery, of course, on SR-221 about 1.5 miles north of SR-14 in Paterson, WA.  Registration and parking traditionally begin about 9 am; we try to start the awards ceremony around 3 pm.  The show is open to all vehicles on 4 wheels (dualie pickups accepted also), regardless of make or condition.  Additional details will be worked out at the planning meetings.  Fall Show planning meetings begin at 6:30 pm on Mondays at Round Table Pizza, Leslie and Gage in south Richland.  There will be no meeting on September 7th (Labor Day); the meeting on September 14th will be in the RTP at George Washington Way and Torbett in Richland.   Feel free to arrive earlier to eat.  Corky Farrell (509-627-9586) and Gera Gonzalez (509-460-6666) are the show co-chairs.  We always have plenty to discuss.  We'll need a lot of volunteers.

As of early September, the following have been accomplished:
Grant Culley has completed making the trophies except for applying the labels;
The shirt design is completed;
Acoustic Java has agreed to furnish the live entertainment;
Tip Pit Barbecue has agreed to sell the lunches;
The Best Western's The Inn at Horse Heaven in Prosser has set aside rooms for reservation; these rooms are available at reduced rates through September 18th.
The pre-registration form has been completed and mailed out to PNWMC members and other recent years' entrants.  If you still need one, it's also available right here --->

28th Annual Concours d' Elegance
Sunday, October 5, 2014

Columbia Crest Winery - Paterson, Washington

Our 28th Annual Concours d'Elegance was a great success with 199 cars and trucks registered; 192 of them were on the grass at the show.  This turnout is a record for our Fall Show and we can't thank the attendees enough for making it so.  We're also happy to report that Columbia Crest Winery probably broke some sales records that day, as well.  Show co-chairs Paul Ziemer and Corky Farrell, Parking Director Steve Wallner, and all the other volunteers had their stressful moments with the planning and execution of the show, but most everything seemed to go well.  The weather could not have been better.  Please enjoy photos from the show, below.

Participants' Choice Best of Show Winner: a Spruce Micah 1948 Chevrolet Thriftmaster pickup entered by Rob and Gaylyn Concienne of the Sundown car club.

Columbia Crest Winery's staff selected the Raven Black 1965 Mustang GT fastback entered by Jim and Nancy Ramsden of the Mustang Wranglers as its Best of Show winner.

A group of representatives from each of the attending clubs selected the blue and silver 1967 Mustang fastback entered by Gary and Iris Christie as the Presidents' Choice Best of Show winner.

We had a lot of other winners at the show, too.  The complete list of trophy winners is available in this file: 2014_Fall_ShowTrophy_Winners_Report.pdf
